NEW YORK GIANTS

OFF SEASON CHANGES

There’s plenty of optimism around the Giants after massive off-season. Landing Harbaugh is close to a best-case-scenario hire for a franchise starving for structure, and building out Dart's supporting cast rather than expecting him to do everything alone shows real organizational discipline. Harbaugh will aim to turn around the culture at the Giants immediately. The front office spent the off-season stacking weapons around Jaxson Dart: tight end Isaiah Likely, receivers Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III, and fullback Patrick Ricard. New York drafted Francis Mauigoa in round one and signed Lucas Patrick and Daniel Faalele to fix an offensive line that must now hold up for Dart and Skattebo’s second season.

QUATERBACKS

The Giants found what looks to be their franchise QB in Jaxson Dart. He took over from Russell Wilson in Week 4 after an 0-3 start and never gave the job back, completing 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards with a 15-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also set the franchise's single-season quarterback rushing touchdown record with nine. Impressive numbers in a team that finished with a 4-13 record. He made the Giants competitive again and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvement under John Harbaugh this season. I expect the Giants to ask Dart to run the ball less frequently this year to look after him a bit more. Having said that, I do like his rushing touchdowns line of 5.5 for the season at –108 on FanDuel.

RUNNING BACKS

Cam Skattebo burst onto the scene as a cult hero last season. He is a seriously bulldozing back and is clearly crazy, but that’s what the fans love about him. He had an amazing game against the Eagles last season with 3 touchdowns and 98 rushing yards in a 34-17 win. Unfortunately he suffered a gruesome injury in Week 8 that ended his season early but he is now back fully healthy and ready to go for this season. New York drafted Francis Mauigoa in round one and signed Lucas Patrick and Daniel Faalele to fix an offensive line that must now hold up for Dart and Skattebo’s second season.

RECEIVERS

Malik Nabers remains the best offensive weapon on this roster and was one of the league's most productive young receivers before a season-ending knee injury cut his 2025 season short in Week 4. He had an amazing game in Week 2 against the Cowboys with 167 yards and 2 touchdowns to show what he can do. His Week 1 availability remains a question but he has looked good in film from training camp so let’s hope he’s available early. Isaiah Likely, Darnell Mooney, and Calvin Austin III were all added to take pressure off Nabers and Dart, giving this passing game far more depth than a year ago. New York ranked just 27th in red-zone touchdown rate last season, a real execution problem an improved offensive line and this deeper receiving corps should directly help fix. If Nabers returns anywhere close to full health, this passing attack has legitimate top-15 upside for the first time in years under new leadership.

DEFENCE

New York's defense ranked 23rd in PFSN's Defense Impact metric in 2025, and new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson arrives directly from Harbaugh's Baltimore staff, where he helped build a top pass defense in 2023.
